EXCELENT!

The Governor of Limburg province Steve Stevaert has come up with a novel way to reduce the number of accidents on the province's roads during the weekends. Each weekend, officers from three of the provinces 18 police forces will carry out roadside checks as part of the Governor's "Slim" (Smart) campaign.
The aim of this year's campaign is to make drivers aware that road-side checks by the police are not designed to annoy them, but rather are in place to improve road safety.

The police will give all drivers they have checked a complimentary air freshener for their car.

Young motorists will also be given special "Smart Alec" badges.

Furthermore, all drivers testing negative for drink driving will have their names entered into a special prize draw and have the chance of winning a brand-new Ford Mondeo.
